Murder Solved?

I mean no disrespect to the grieving family of the young woman who was murdered.  Sadly, this is taking place across this nation far too frequently.  The Gabby Petito case captured the nation's attention, undoubtedly for a myriad of reasons, such as relating to concerns about abuse and violence for daughters, granddaughters, nieces, and simple compassion.   It seems any time a murder case or a case of life and death becomes a national headline that remains in the headlines for days, even weeks; there is something else that is not being reported.

For weeks, it seems the media was actually using this young woman's death as a distraction from the surrender in Afghanistan, and that is inexcusable.  The reports have attempted to introduce race, domestic violence issues, psychology, as well as raise all sorts of questions regarding the timeline.  Brian Laundrie has already been found guilty in the court of public opinion, which brings to mind a few other cases, such as the death of Laci Peterson and the death sentence for Scott.  Although the conviction was upheld, the death sentence was overturned in 2020.

The FBI and the Bounty Hunter were on the case of searching for Brian Laundrie for a few weeks, with nothing . . . Brian Laundrie's parents finally get involved, and in 24 hours, the missing person case is "solved!"  At the risk of sounding like a complete conspiracy theory nut, something just keeps crossing my mind, so why not mention it here.  The circumstances do seem questionable.

It was reported that several skeletal remains were found in this reserve while the FBI was conducting the search.  I never ruled out an escape plan with his parents.  The camping trip, the abandoned mustang, the changed date of his disappearance; just to name a few, seemed suspicious.  Not to mention, none of the Laundries reported Gabby as missing.  The possibility of burner phones was never addressed fully, but certainly raised even more suspicion.  All of these variables may have simply been to keep Americans horrified and captivated.  Through the weeks of the search, I leaned more toward the Bounty Hunter's search, on the Appalachian Trail, and there was reported to be a witness.  There were reports that Brian Laundrie had spent some serious time camping on that Trail.

Brian's parents made the missing person's report and claimed the location of the mustang.  These people said nothing for weeks, then when the reserve was reopened to the public, his backpack and notepad were discovered near partial skeletal remains.  This was in an area that had been underwater for weeks.  The first report of the backpack mentioned that it was dry . . . within a couple of days, it was then reported to be waterproof.  I haven't seen the actual evidence, but if this area has all been underwater for about a month, it is curious.  His parents show up and within 24 hours, the case is resolved?

There is really no reason to believe the media or have any faith in the FBI, at this time.  So what if Brian Laundrie is now "safely" declared dead, while planning a new life at the end of the Appalachian Trail?
